Four ebony points are set into the birdseye maple forearm of this traditionally designed cue. Each point is outlined with four colorful veneers of black, copper, blue and white. Nickel silver rings, each with sixteen windows, accent the cue at the joint and at the bottom of the ebony butt sleeve. The joint is a stainless steel collar with a stainless steel radial pin that maintains a face-to-face joint. The wrap is white Irish Linen with double black specks.
This handcrafted Downey Custom Cue features a 13mm shaft diameter with a 12-1/2" taper, Stratos medium-hard laminated tip, and linen-based laminate ferrule. The joint is flat-faced and wood-to-wood using a 3/8" radial™ brass pin into wood. The brass pin provides a better feel and a better hit.
