Blue veneers are set into the curly maple forearm of this cue, repeating four times. Accenting each point are inlays of amboyna in the shape of a sword. Each inlay is made of four separate inlays. The blue veneer rings continue the color scheme, with twelve slots in each ring. The butt sleeve is curly maple with four veneer windows, each with a sword inlay. These inlays are also formed from four separate inlays. The wrap is two-tone brown stack leather.
Each Downey cue comes with two 13mm shafts with a 12.5” taper, and dymondwood joint protectors. Each cue also includes moori medium-hard laminated tips and linen-based laminate ferrules. The joints are flat faced and use a 3/8 radial brass pin. The type of joint and the pin lends to the playability of the cue. Measuring 58” long they are available in weights of 18-21 oz.
