The ebony forearm of this cue features four points of cocobolo. Each point is outlined with three veneers: white, black and white. Cocobolo is also used for the butt sleeve. Twelve cocobolo windows are placed into ebony to tie the cue together. The windows are encased by black and white rings, and the wrap is black Irish linen with white specks.
Each Downey cue comes with two 13mm shafts with a 12.5” taper, and dymondwood joint protectors. Each cue also includes moori medium-hard laminated tips and linen-based laminate ferrules. The joints are flat faced and use a 3/8 radial brass pin. The type of joint and the pin lends to the playability of the cue. Measuring 58” long they are available in weights of 18-21 oz. Because each cue is individually made and no two are exactly alike, wood grains and patterns may vary slightly from cue to cue. Includes two shafts and dymondwood joint protectors.
