The classic, traditional look of this cue begins in the birdseye maple forearm, with four ebony points with veneer outlines of purple, green, brown and white. Nickel silver rings accent the cue at the joint and at the bottom of the ebony butt sleeve. Each ring has sixteen windows. The joint is a stainless steel collar wiht a stainless steel radial pin that maintains a face-to-face joint. The wrap of white Irish Linen with green specks adds to the traditional look of the cue.
This handcrafted Downey Custom Cue features a 13mm shaft diameter with a 12-1/2" taper, Stratos medium-hard laminated tip, and linen-based laminate ferrule. The joint is flat-faced and wood-to-wood using a 3/8" radial™ brass pin into wood. The brass pin provides a better feel and a better hit.
